About the Artist
I was born in Hartford, Connecticut and even as a child expressed an interest in all things creative. I would draw houses (yes, even back then!) and cut out pictures from magazines to “decorate” the new home. I was also surrounded by art right from the beginning. My grandfather was a professional painter and my mom is a talented portrait artist.
When time came to pick a career, I chose a reliable and steadfast path as a licensed Cosmetologist and practiced my artwork as a sideline. I didn’t have a huge amount of free time while “making a living.” However, I was able to pursue the fascinating hobby of photography, acquiring free-lance work for weddings and special events.
A few years ago, I began to take a closer look at painting with acrylics and drawing with graphite pencils. I drew portraits for family members and created art pieces to decorate the walls of my home.
In 2007, I was asked by a Real Estate Agent friend to draw a home for a closing gift. I accepted this challenge and at once began to create a beautiful work of art. My friend told me that his clients loved the drawing of their first home. When word began to spread among the local Realtor community about this great and rewarding gift, I decided to start Robert’s Art Studio.
I enjoy creating these wonderful portraits that enable homeowners to display their pride and love of home. If you ever have a question or wonder how your home would look as an artist rendering, please don’t hesitate to call or email me. Your satisfaction is my number one concern!
